The Noel Memorial
Library Archives serves as the most important resource
center for the preservation and study of the historical development of
Northwest Louisiana and the surrounding Red River Region, commonly known
as the Ark-La-Tex. The region has a rich and colorful heritage, and the
sources for this history must be collected, preserved, and made available
for students, researchers, and other writers.

The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum
The Louisiana State
Exhibit Museum is mission driven--its purpose is to
educate, promote tourism and to build community pride. Located on six
acres of state land at 3015 Greenwood Road, adjacent to the State
Fairgrounds, the museum is funded and operated by the Louisiana
Department of State under the direction of Secretary of State Fox
McKeithen.
